Top-rated Lancaster has six state championships under its belt, all under John Hoch since 1993, including a three-year run from 2000 through 2002 and back-to-back crowns in 2005 and 2006.

The Flying Arrows returned to the final dance last fall, but they suffered a painful 44-43 overtime loss to Colby and would like to wipe that taste from their mouths.

They begin that march as a top seed in Group C, but it won't be easy in a bracket that also includes third-ranked and second-seeded Durand and seventh-ranked and third-seeded Cuba City, both of which also enter the postseason with perfect records.

Second-ranked Amherst is the No. 1 seed in Group B, where the Falcons could see seven-time state champion and eighth-rated Stratford should both reach Level 3.

The other top seeds are unbeaten and sixth-ranked Cameron in Group A and fourth-rated Brillion in Group D.

Cameron's bracket includes No. 10 Elk Mound and Cumberland, and defending champ Colby looms as a second-round foe possibility along with No. 5 Stanley-Boyd, while Brillion's top competition could include a hot Cedar Grove-Belgium squad and second-seeded St. Catherine's.
